The Best Cat Methods For Cleaning Urine

Inappropriate cat urination is definitely one of the most infuriating things that can occur to a cat guardian most especially when it takes place on your furniture. Here are some methods for cleaning cat urine through utilizing alternative methods or enzymatic cleaners.

Step 1: Do not Scrub. Instead, you have to blot and press to clean up cat pee.

If you rub a cat pee in order to absorb the moisture, it will just spread the stink more. Instead of doing this, take a paper towel or cloth and press down hard to take out any urine that got soaked in. The moment you finished doing it, leave another pile of paper towels or cloth on the affected area to soak up more.

Step 2: Utilize am enzymatic cleaner for cat pee.

The thing that causes the odor, which is also known as uric acid, isn’t water soluble and will not react to cleanup methods that are water-based. An enzymatic cleaner separates the uric acid and eradicates the smell. Using the enzymatic cleaner, soak the soiled area deeper into the cushions as the urine did. Wait and let it sit for approximately 10 up to 15 minutes.

Enzymatic cleaners can cause lightening or stains of the dye on leather furniture. Thus, before using it, you have to first test the cleaner in a less visible area to check if it damages the leather.

Step 3: Cover the area and let it dry.

Cover the area where you utilized the enzymatic cleaner either with a towel or anything that aids people and cats to prevent the spot. When the cleaner and stain went deep into the cushions, it can take a lot of days to dry. Perhaps you might leave the cushions outdoors in the sun to remove odors and dry them as well.

Any suggestions for cleaning up the pee from a couch? couch cushions are so much thicker than carpet, or a blanket, etc! Ugh!

I Use a mix of vinegar and water. Blot, let dry a bit, then put baking soda and wait overnight. You will see the soda will be yellow! It sucks the pee RIGht up.
Repeat if necessary.

That article is pretty good but it doesnt tell me what the products are called that have the ingredient enzynmatic in it in australia or in any country in that fact.
Like most of us who dont happen to have a spare bottle of enzymatic handy in the cupboard the only thing I found that you could possibly get away with clean up cat pee, is to copletely dilute or run continues water through the item until you cannot smell it anymore or if not completely then just a faint smell.
then squeeze a fresh lemon juice into more clean rinsing water & rinse through as much as possible.
