Cat Phobia

Some people have a fear of cats, which is also known as cat phobia. The people who has this phobia are often afraid that cats will jump out of nowhere and scratch someone’s face using their claws. This phobia is usually seen in women compared to men and mainly in children. They tend to prevent going to houses that has cats or dogs as pets. Aside from that, these kinds of people are also afraid of little insects so they tend to overreact when they visit houses where people have tarantula or snakes as pet.

These fears may also start to resurface due to a traumatic experience that a person might have gone through in the past.  It could be an encounter with a cat, dog or any pet that might have charged a person. And after that particular experience, a fear takes over in the heart, which becomes difficult to overcome. Even pets that are treated harshly or badly begin suffering from phobias. They become meek, hesitant and they start to whimper and hide under the tables or sofas the moment any human attempts to approach them.

Pets, such as cats, dogs, horses, also suffer from phobias like fearing loud sounds, fire, explosions and more. These phobias can be cured with the help of psychiatrist. However, the greatest way to overcome a phobia is to force yourself into a circumstance where you need to be strong and face it and by always keeping in mind that it’ll help you overcome it.
