Things to Know About Siberian Cats May 29, 2017
Siberian Cats are hailed from Russia, and they are considered to be a national treasure there. They have appeared and been documented for hundreds of years from Russia’s fairy tales, children’s books, and others.
Siberian Cats are characterized distinctly for their blue eyes, or an eye that has a different color from the other. They have a medium built and muscular body, although you can’t easily realize this because of their water resistant fur that makes them very fluffy and cute. Their ears also appear to be pointed because of extra hairs in its tips.
Siberian cats have characteristics like those of dogs; they are very friendly and playful. They can go outdoors and play fetch, or they can greet you at the door when you come home from work.
Another advantage of Siberian Cats among other breeds is that they are very easy to groom. This is because they are not fearful of water, and in fact, they love to play with it. You just need to acclimate them in their younger years, and they’ll be more happy when you want to clean them.
Siberian Cats also don’t have many issues on health, except a heart condition that is common in its breed. It is called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, where the muscles of the heart thicken. Siberian Cats take five years to mature, but they can live up as long as 15 years.
